Imagine the ideal crop next summer. What does it take to achieve that? Some factors are out of your control, such as the weather, but some are not.
The close of harvest across the Midwest means many growers and retailers are beginning to think about the coming spring. As you reminisce about the 2014 planting season, you might recall that untimely rainfall caused headaches for growers planning to apply a preemergence herbicide. We can’t predict next season’s weather, but we can offer guidance on preparing for next season’s corn and soybean crops.
Here are a few crop protection solutions to maximize the opportunity for your customers to reach optimum yield potential:
To control weeds on corn acres, SureStart® II herbicide provides flexible application timing from preemergence up to 11-inch corn. It controls more than 60 high-anxiety weeds through three nonglyphosate modes of action.
Optimize the yield potential of your corn crop by using Instinct® II nitrogen stabilizer. Instinct II protects your customers’ largest fertilizer investment by keeping applied nitrogen available in the root zone of corn plants when it’s needed most. Instinct II can be used with UAN, urea and liquid manure.
On soybean acres, Sonic® herbicide provides broad-spectrum control of many tough broadleaf weeds and grasses, including waterhemp, marestail and giant ragweed. Applied from preemergence up to three days postplant, Sonic keeps weeds small to maximize postemergence applications.
The protection offered by Transform® WG insecticide and Cobalt® Advanced insecticide empowers growers to protect their yield potential as part of an effective insect management program.
With a unique mode of action, Transform WG controls soybean aphids with both contact and ingestion activity offering excellent residual control while being safe on beneficials.
Cobalt Advanced provides broad-spectrum insect control in corn, soybean, alfalfa and wheat. And research shows that growers can maximize yield potential by tank-mixing Cobalt Advanced with an effective fungicide.
