Resources to help growers succeed

There’s nothing else like it. Enlist Ahead is a one-of-a-kind management resource designed to aid on-target applications and help prevent resistance in fields. It offers management recommendations and resources, training and education, and technology advancements.

Patrick Delaney, an ag retailer from Indiana, attended one of the technology centers for a hands-on experience with the technology.

“It works, and it is an easy program,” Delaney says. “We are combining two proven technologies, and I really see it as a huge benefit to combating these yield-robbing weeds.”

Enlist Ahead also helps growers and applicators identify the latest technologies, such as preferred nozzles, for their herbicide applications.

“Using the right nozzles, pressures, boom height and droplet size, and controlling weeds before they get too big are important so we protect this technology and ensure it’s here for years to come,” says Brett Reiss, a Kansas grower.

Part of the Enlist Ahead management resource is the Enlist Ahead app, a precision agriculture tool for maximizing weed control performance, managing weed resistance and making responsible applications of Enlist Duo herbicide.

Two key features of the app include the Application Planner and the Mode of Action (MOA) Calculator.

  • The Application Planner combines real-time, localized weather data, capabilities to map crop fields and trait technologies, and other important considerations for growers and applicators to review before making a responsible herbicide application.
  • The MOA Calculator allows growers to select the herbicides they plan to apply to their Enlist crop, including a foundation herbicide and a postemergence application of Enlist Duo herbicide. The app will indicate whether the herbicides entered are in different herbicide groups. Based on the number of modes of action in the products selected, the app also will indicate whether the weed control program entered is good, moderate or poor with regard to resistance management.

Initially, the Enlist Ahead app will be available for download on iOS tablets. It will later be available for Android tablets.

Local in-field experts also are available for consultation about weed management, application technology and crop research.
