In each issue, you are invited to answer a poll question about various crop protection topics. Your answers provide valuable insights to the challenges you encounter. Here is a look at the results from recent poll questions.
This spring, readers said volatile input prices, managing cost positions and inventory, and attracting new customers were the top three issues facing their businesses.
Fertilizer is a grower’s most expensive input investment and growers are seeking ways to protect it. Forty-nine percent of Inputs & Insights readers said their customers use a nitrogen stabilizer because it protects their fertilizer investment, and 29 percent said it gives their customers peace of mind that nitrogen is available when it’s needed. Instinct® II and N-Serve® nitrogen stabilizers are two solutions available to help protect fertilizer investments and keep nitrogen available in the root zone for crops to use.
Waterhemp continues to top the list of the most troublesome weeds along with marestail and Palmer amaranth. For control of waterhemp and many other high-anxiety weeds, Dow AgroSciences recommends using a program approach that starts with preemergence, residual herbicides followed by timely postemergence applications, including Resicore™ and SureStart® II herbicides in corn, Sonic® and Surveil® herbicides in soybeans, and Enlist Duo® herbicide as part of the Enlist™ weed control system in both corn and soybeans.
We look forward to gathering insights from each issue and invite you to take this month’s poll. For more information about Dow AgroSciences crop protection products, please contact your Dow AgroSciences sales representative or visit dowagro.com.
