Deliver Farmers the Rewards of a Program Approach

3 Key Takeaways from This Article:

  • A program approach with residual herbicides is considered a best practice for successful weed control in soybeans.
  • The benefits include enhanced weed control, more flexible application windows and better field management.
  • Now, with Enlist Ahead Farmer Rewards, farmers also can earn up to $2.50* per acre when adding residual herbicides.

When you’re able to recommend a weed control program in soybeans that benefits both a farmer’s land and bottom line, it’s a win-win. This spring, by recommending a program approach using residual herbicides, your customers can control their toughest weeds and earn valuable cash back when using Enlist Ahead Farmer Rewards.

It starts with taking a program approach to weed control. That means:

  1. Starting clean with a burndown application
  2. Using effective preemergence herbicides with residual activity
  3. Applying Enlist herbicides postemergence

Three easy steps add up to significant benefits for farmers.

According to Aaron Smith, U.S. Product Manager, Soybean Herbicides, “When farmers apply residual herbicides as part of a program approach, they experience benefits like enhanced in-season weed control and more flexible application windows, and it helps them be better field managers. With weeds under control from preplant and well into the season, it ultimately delivers better productivity and increased yield potential.”

Cleaner fields and cash back with Enlist Ahead Rewards
Now, farmers can combine those benefits with the ability to earn cash back on their crop protection needs. With Enlist Ahead Farmer Rewards, customers can now earn up to $2.50* per acre when taking a program approach.

“Enlist Ahead Farmer Rewards is straightforward for farmers and gives retailers better opportunity to improve their customers’ yield potential at harvest,” Smith says. “By participating, farmers can earn significant cash back when they use residuals such as Sonic, Trivence or EverpreX herbicides to keep Enlist E3 soybean fields clean throughout the growing season.”

Much like taking a program approach, the Enlist Ahead program involves three simple steps:

  1. Farmers purchase Enlist One® or Enlist Duo® herbicide. Each contains 2,4-D choline, and they are the only 2,4-D herbicides labeled for use with Enlist E3 soybeans.
  2. Farmers purchase one or more eligible Corteva Agriscience™ soybean residual herbicides, such as Sonic®, DuPont™ Trivence®, DuPont™ EverpreX® or Surveil®, from an authorized retailer from Oct. 1, 2019, to Sept. 30, 2020.
  3. Farmers get an Enlist Ahead Rewards check mailed to them.

Qualifying residual products include DuPont Afforia®, DuPont Canopy®, Elevore® with Arylex® active, EverpreX, DuPont Enlite®, DuPont Envive®, Sonic, Surveil and Trivence herbicides. Farmers can choose Enlist Duo, a convenient proprietary blend of 2,4-D choline and glyphosate, or Enlist One, a straight-goods 2,4-D choline herbicide.
